We made it to the next day. It is no longer Groundhog Day in America! This morning we woke up and Andie MacDowell was next to us, a gentle snow had fallen on the ground outside, and we were no longer trapped in the repeating Hellscape that was the past four years.

Who We Are
We’ve been here before. America has reacted in terrible ways to situations it deems a threat. Sometimes it is started by our government, sometimes it is started by the people. Both influence each other’s hands. So the notion that “cooler heads will prevail” in the current situation we find our country, should be said with an understanding of what that means. And, for me, it means this will only get worse.
American Hustle
This is not about wanting to lead or govern and this sure as hell is not about fighting voter fraud. If this was about voter fraud then how come every single time one of his lawyers stood in a court room with the ability to present their case and prove voter fraud, they admitted they had no proof? Why would they do that if they were only their at the whim of a madman?
Coup De Toddler
I know we, as Americans, think of Coups as messy, violent military actions in awful countries in other parts of the world. We see them in our movies and television shows. A rogue general attacking the capital as a political statement.
We are naïve.
Maga
How do you solve a problem like the Maga?
Catharsis
Four years of feeling the walls crumbling around you and nothing could be done. You could see others like you, feeling the same way as you, and nothing could be done. Four years of watching science be attacked, the climate crisis be mocked, illegal activity be brushed aside and scoffed at. Four years of insults and lies. Four years of chaos.
Presidential Fraud
This is why we voted against him. This is why we tried to convince you to do the same. This was never about Democrat versus Republican. Not for me. You and I can discuss the difference in policy beliefs between the parties all day and I would be okay with an impasse.
A Debate Among Friends
Childhood friends, different political views, a friendly debate, a scientist for a moderator. What’s not to like?
November 3rd
What to expect on a day like today
I Can’t Keep Quiet
Tomorrow is election day. And I’m tired. Deeply tired. Tired of arguing, tired of fighting. Tired of screaming about things I shouldn’t have to scream about. I just want to lie down. For a moment, for any amount of time just to catch my breath.
A Cult of Personality
Cult of Personality is defined when the country’s regime uses mass media, propaganda, lies, patriotism and demonstrations to create a vision of their leader as heroic and to be worshipped. We see it all the time in nations that we would normally denounce.
Iceberg, Right Ahead!
I feel like we are all Jack and Rose on the stern of the Titanic as it is about to sink into the sea. We cling to the rail as tight as we can and watch the carnage below. We catch the eye of another scared passenger and wonder how we got here. Just a short while earlier we thought…
The Immediacy of the Moment
You stand for what you believe in, regardless if you will succeed. You stand for those who can’t. You stand for those who stood before you and are gone, tired, or need your help. You stand against the odds for what is right. Even if you are scared. Even if you are outnumbered. You stand. You stand as you march,…
The Monster at the End of This Country
I wish we lived in a country where a Donald Trump presidency would never be possible. Not because of anything sinister or illegal or because we changed the rules to block him but because the people of the United States understood that Donald Trump represents everything wrong with our country and chose to not vote for him. I wish we…
